The 2014 WCCM congress is a jointly organized event between IACM and ECCOMAS
Of the over 4000 abstracts submitted, about 3200 were accepted for presentation. For the presentation, papers were grouped into 8 distinctive technical sessions focused on Aeronautics, over 216 Minisymposia and 26 thematic sessions that include contributed papers.
The technical programs are 6 major plenary lectures and 30 semi-plenary lectures which includes many young investor lectures and industrial lectures. Also inclusive are the closing and opening lectures.

The 11th World Congress on Computational Mechanics will be held in Barcelona, Spain.
All the activities outlined made the 2014 event the largest meeting to be held in computational mechanics. It is a gathering of about 4000 academics, scientists, engineers and researchers from more than 60 countries from around the world. It wass a gathering in Barcelona, Spain, to listen to new developments, present works and have the opportunity to have some time with old colleagues and friends on the platform.
The topics covered in the Congress spread across many disciplines on the application and theory of computational approaches in applied sciences and engineering.
